Leonard comes to RapidScale with over 20 years of experience in various marketing, sales and change management leadership roles

IRVINE, Calif. – June 21, 2018 – RapidScale, a leader in managed cloud services, welcomes Brian Leonard to the team as vice president of marketing. Leonard is based in Irvine and will be responsible for further accelerating RapidScale into a global brand and market leader in managed and hybrid managed cloud services, enabling partners to gain market position in selling and consulting such services, and leading a robust RapidScale marketing, advertising and public relations strategy. Before RapidScale, Leonard ran a marketing department comprised of 14 employees for four years as director of marketing at Intelisys, a ScanSource company and the nation’s leading technology services distributor. His responsibilities included branding, digital marketing, advertising, marcom, video, marketing operations, Cloud Services University, and public relations. During his time at Intelisys, Leonard launched and hosted The Channel Outlaws podcast, the only podcast in the world focused exclusively on channel sales partners. “Word of mouth means everything to me,” says Leonard. “I spoke exhaustively to dozens of sales partners, solutions engineers, and even leadership professionals at Intelisys. The feedback was incredible, everyone spoke highly of the explosive team and solutions that RapidScale offers and continues expanding upon. I was determined to be surrounded by top talent and found that RapidScale has built one of the best teams in the industry.” Previous to Intelisys, Leonard was co-owner of Mojo Marketing, a marketing agency focused exclusively on the telecom and cloud industry. “RapidScale is experiencing tremendous growth and there is a greater need to expand awareness of our products, deepen our engagement with partners and customers, and continue to aggressively build our brand,” says EVP, Sales & Marketing Bob Buchanan. “Brian is a proven industry leader with extensive experience in the channel, and he aligns perfectly with our pursuit of adding top-tier talent. I’m confident that he will be a tremendous asset to the RapidScale team, including our valued partner ecosystem as we continue to execute on our strategy.” This appointment is a vital part of the company’s ongoing drive to hire experienced and successful talent in the channel.
