The meeting and collaborative discussion with China Telecom leaders focused on the area of global application delivery

[Irvine, CA: February 4th, 2015] RapidScale, a global leader in cloud solutions, met with China Telecom leaders in Irvine, CA, yesterday. The delegation is visiting from China in an effort to work, meet, and learn from telecom and cloud experts in the US. The U.S. – China Business Training Center hosts and coordinates visits from oversees professionals in order to allow them to connect with local businesses.

The theme of the day included current trends in the telecommunications and cloud computing industries, convergence of cloud and telecom companies, and how telecommunication and mobile technology companies can collaborate and build additional revenue streams. Key discussion points included Global CloudMPLS Networks, Global Application Networks and Performance, Security, Business Application Revenue, and CDN Networks. Featured speakers include RapidScale CEO, Randy Jeter, who conducted the formal agenda. Additional RapidScale attendees include Cloud Delivery Manager, Jeff Richards and Cloud Support Manager, Ryan Turpin. The delegation through U.S. China Business Training Centers brought more than 20 China Telecom delegates to the meeting. The meeting generated a high level of interaction throughout the meeting and potential for future collaboration.

While cloud is an ever evolving subject that encompasses almost everything IT, the concern with other countries includes data sharing, user access to sites blocked by the government, and application type. The last thing a global Desktop as a Service Provider wants to do is get shut down for not being compliant with government requirements. It’s our job to address it in our agreements and in the sales process. The reason for that is we are committed to building a global application network for Cable Companies “Managed System Operators”, Telecommunications companies, and data center companies”.
