The client is a distributor and manufacturer of geosynthetics, erosion and sediment control materials, stormwater products, and various landscape/jobsite supplies. With over 30 stocking locations in the U.S. and Canada.
Pain Points
The client had been managing a POP3 email server manually in-house and had experience very poor mail flow coupled with spam and virus issues constantly. Email management was taking up too much of the IT team’s time and they realized it was decreasing productivity across the sector as a whole, ultimately wasting money and resources. The client needed a solution that would enhance their email entirely and decrease the time spent managing it.
Opportunity
The opportunity emerged from a partner who had a client experiencing poor email and trusted that RapidScale could provide a cost-effective and powerful solution. Our Partner Experience Manager brought in our SVP, Technology to show the client that our Hosted Exchange with Mimecast tacked on was a far cleaner, more efficient and ultimately more robust email platform than anything that the client had previously experienced.
Solution
RapidScale was able to provide the client with a cloud solution that enabled their employees to focus less on IT and more on growth. The client had been skeptical of cloud products but this was an effective way for them to get their feet wet with cloud, and in the future they will be looking into other avenues of business that cloud technology can enhance, specifically CloudDesktop.
