About the Client
A regional bank located in Washington D.C leveraging an existing MSP to host and support their infrastructure. When we first engaged with the customer, they expressed their displeasure in the level of support they were getting as well as the overall poor performance of the environment.
The bank needed a higher level of support, the MSP support they were receiving was not meeting the bank’s standards. They wanted to have a more secure and better performing environment to increase efficiency of workers and there were concerns around the level of security in place. The client sought to free up the workers, to be able to access core line-of-business applications form outside the office while staying secure. Due to managing all their support in a local MSP the costs were very high, the bank was seeking to improve their costs in regards to IT management/supportive environments.
Opportunity arose when RapidScale engaged with the bank’s Director of IT. The current MSP was overcharging on a monthly basis while providing subpar support and performance. The RapidScale team scheduled on-site meetings frequently bringing the whole team into town to address all avenues of IT connectivity, voice and computer. Both upper-level managements were heavily involved.
RapidScale presented the client with a solution that contained CloudDesktop, CloudServer, CloudSecurity and Microsoft 365 to unify workers by allowing them to access information anywhere through secured servers using CloudDesktop.
Due to being unified, the bank had the ability to easily merge two sister companies to increase a total employee count to 60. The client also built out a highly available secondary data center and added two-factor authentication to its servers. The satisfied client are continuing to evaluate additional security offerings that RapidScale can provide for them.
RapidScale partnered with the bank so that they can grow and leverage additional technologies as they need. Scaling the costs of applications the clients were able to reduce their costs exponentially.
